Cable Internet Vs. Wireless Internet

When we talk about CABLE / WIRE , that means we are talking about old technology and when we talk about wireless it means we are talking about advance technology. No matter Cable or wire medium is old fashioned but still it has some potential also disadvantages as well. Same goes to Wireless networks, Although it's new technology but still has disadvantages and many advantages as well.

So No network is 100% perfect if you choose Cable or Wireless. Now it all depends on your requirement that what actually your needs are. If you are Residential Internet user who wants to use it whenever he gets free time, Wireless Internet is the most favorable for him (IF COVERAGE IS THERE) So  the condition is Coverage. If person doesn't have coverage then wireless Internet is not for him. Then he would definitely get a cable net or a DSL connection (Which is also a wired internet).

Cable Net Operators in Pakistan usually don't follow networking standards and they provide internet from switch to switch. If any switch gets disturbed by any reasons the network breaks right after that switch. Load Shedding made the situation worst. Cable Internet without proper backup power plan are big failure.

Wireless Internet are portable / Easy to carry / A device required for the connection which usually companies give free of cost. A installer visits to deploy a connection. Usually wireless companies hire professional and technical sound staff who can troubleshoot customer problems easily.

On the other hand local cable internet guys are usually un trained / un professional , mostly customers give them suggestions to test this and that. But Cablenet guys are always in your range. You can catch them in your area office. So direct coordination is there.

Cable internet usually offers unlimited internet access but in wireless customer gets restriction in GB usage. But there is always a limit even in cablenet connection , after that customer starts getting slow speed. Same in Wireless internet they offer UNLIMITED Packages which give customer freedom to use internet in a certain amount.

Problems come in both cable internet or in wireless internet, then customer support starts. It's important for any company that their customer support should be supportive and efficient.
